FENCING

For our Fencing sessions, we use the super talented Nick Payne and his amazing team at SWORD FIGHTING INTERNATIONAL.

 

Nick is the founder of Sword Fighting International and has fenced since he was 10 years old. Former British No1 and England Captain, he was reserve for the Barcelona Olympics and is a Commonwealth bronze medallist. Now retired from competitive Fencing, Nick is an International Referee and was one of the assistant referees for the Men's Foil Final at the London 2012 Olympics.

The Buzzers children will experience Fencing through fun and inclusive games, learning the basic techniques and skills required to Fence like a pro!

Nick and his team will explain the scoring system used in the Olympic format of the sport and children will get to compete against each other.

​

All equipment is supplied, including face guard and sword.

 

Sessions will focus on maximum participation and inclusivity. The sessions will also be tailored to suit the age and physical ability of each child.
