Mini Buzzers - Under 5's

Mini steps towards a huge physical development

At Mini Buzzers, our philosophy is about giving young children their first introduction to sport in a fun, energetic, and supportive environment. We focus on building confidence, coordination, and a broad range of fundamental movement skills, rather than encouraging children to specialise in just one sport too early. Our Multi-Sports sessions allow children to explore a variety of sports.

FUN is always at the heart of everything we do. Each session is packed with sport-themed games designed to keep children ACTIVE, SMILING, and EXCITED to take part. Our classes blend learning with physical development and are suitable for both boys and girls. Sessions are action-packed and may include elements of Gymnastics, Dance, Cheerleading, Athletics, Football, Rugby, Netball, Tennis, Cricket, and lots of imaginative team games.

Mini Buzzers classes are divided into age-appropriate groups to ensure every child gets the most from their experience, with sessions available for 2–3.5-year-olds, 3.5-5 years old.

AGE GROUPS:

2–3.5 year olds - Our youngest Mini Buzzers are introduced to sport-specific core skills that help set them on the start of their sporting journey. Our coaching team gently encourages every child to try new skills in a fun, positive environment, making sure learning always happens with a big smile. Sessions include a mix of team and individual games; all using soft equipment to ensure safety and build confidence. For this age group, parent participation is encouraged to help support and engage our youngest Buzzers.

3.5-5 years old - As our Mini Buzzers players continue to develop, they build on the skills they’ve already learned and begin to broaden their overall sporting ability. Sessions focus on improving balance and coordination, while introducing games that involve colours, numbers, and simple challenges to support both physical and cognitive development. A light element of competition is introduced at this stage, helping children understand teamwork and game awareness, while respect for others, encouragement, and plenty of high fives remain at the heart of every session. Parent involvement is welcomed at this level but is never required.

FAQs:

What are the age groups for the session?

Our Mini Buzzers Multi-Sports classes are split into two age groups: 2–3.5 year olds and 3.5-5 year olds..

How long are the classes?

The sessions for both age groups are 45 minutes long.

Do I have to stay with my child during the classes?

You will need to stay with your child throughout the session. With younger children we actively encourage parents help their children during the session whilst with the older children we encourage the children to build their independence and hence parents take on more of a supportive role from the sidelines.

Are the classes indoors or outdoors?

All classes will be held in the main halls of the churches.

Can I try the classes out before committing to a term?

We offer a free trial session option so that you can try a class before committing to the term. You are under no obligation to sign up for the full term after this trial. After your trial you will be able to discuss the trial with the Head Coach. We hope your child will really enjoy their trial and will be very excited to come back the following week. If however, they didn't settle well, the Head Coach may recommend they have another trial in the older or younger class or if you feel that your child is not yet ready to join the classes, you are welcome to come back when they are ready and book another trial session.

Does my child automatically move to the next class by age?

Age groupings are a guideline. Please discuss your child's progress with the Head Coach who will advise if they are ready to move to the next class.

Can siblings and other family members watch the classes?

We welcome spectators at classes; however we would ask parents to ensure that siblings remain on the sidelines and do not participate in the activities or play with the equipment. We ask that if you are photographing your child during the class, that you ensure no other children are present in the photos.

Do your classes run during the school holidays?

Classes run term time and will not run through the school holidays.

Can I book an ad hoc class?

Yes, you can book an ad hoc class via our website. You will need to select single session booking.

What happens if I cannot make a class?

If you are unable to make a class, please notify the Admin Team who will report your absence to the Head Coach. Regretfully we cannot offer refunds, credits, or catchup classes for non-attendance.

How do I know which age group is best for my child?

Age groupings are a guideline. We recommend that you initially book a trial in your child's appropriate age and discuss with the Head Coach at the end of the session. If your child has additional needs or if you feel like they may struggle in their age group, please contact the Admin Team ahead of booking.

Can we join middle of a term?

Subject to availability you can join a class part way through a term. Term fees will be prorated.

What is the cancellation policy?

We don't offer refunds however if you are wishing to cancel a booking that is within our notice period we will happily cancel booking and place credit on account for future booking.

Will my child be automatically enrolled into next term?

At the end of each term, we will automatically reserve your child a space in the next term. Please ensure that you follow the link in your re-enrolment email to make payment to secure your place. We do not hold any payment details on file. If you do not wish to continue your classes, please contact the Admin Team who will remove your booking.
